Description

A complete balanced food for dogs with malnutrition or requiring intensive care, recovering from trauma or surgery, anorexia, cachexia, and cancer. Suitable for cats with hepatic lipidosis or dogs with burns or sepsis. Can be fed via tube.

Description

  • Highly digestible ingredients compensate for weaker digestion and ensure optimal nutrient absorption during recovery and replenishment of nutritional deficiencies in the body.
  • High in energy, fat, protein and other essential nutrients promotes recovery and allows for reduced feeding rates, which is an advantage for dogs and cats with increased requirements and/or reduced appetite.
  • You have ß-1,3/1,6-glucans and increased levels of omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, selenium and arginine, needed to strengthen immunity. Beta glucans can bind to macrophages and activate the immune system, thereby stimulating the immune response and regulating the release of cytokines.
  • High energy value, high concentration of essential nutrients, extremely good digestibility and great taste helps recover after illness, surgery, injuries or periods of weakness.
  • Especially Soft-textured food that is mixed with water to make it suitable for feeding by syringe or tube. If using a smaller tube, 1 or 2 parts water should be added.

Ingredients and additives

Chicken, pork, fish, egg powder, fish oil, potato starch, potato protein, minerals, vitamins and trace elements (including chelated trace elements), sunflower oil, psyllium husks, dextrose, xylose, taurine, yeast (source of ß-1,3/1,6 glucans), L-carnitine.

Contains no artificial colors or flavors.

Additional information

  • SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support has more protein to speed up recovery and compensate for protein catabolism and loss. The food is also rich in amino acids important for healing. Glutamine is an important source of energy for enterocytes, and it also strengthens the intestinal mucosa. Branched-chain amino acids - beneficial for muscles and maintains nitrogen balance. Arginine strengthens the immune response, nitrogen balance and wound healing.
  • SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support has more zinc , which enhances immune response, nitrogen balance and wound healing.
  • L-carnitine helps maintain lean body mass and fatty acid oxidation and promotes recovery in cats with hepatic lipidosis.
  • Exceptionally high in omega-3 fatty acids helps in cases of cachexia.
  • Severe patients wound healing can be improved by an optimally balanced diet. SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support contains beta 1,3/1,6-glucans and increased levels of zinc and protein to accelerate wound healing.
  • It is recommended that patients with anorexia gradually introduce SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support to reach the required rate in approximately 3 days (day 1 - 33%, day 2 - 67%, day 3 - 100%).
  • It is recommended to serve SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support at room temperature, dividing the daily dose into several smaller portions.
  • Feeding SPECIFIC™ F/C-In-W Intensive Support to debilitated patients before surgery can improve the body's nutritional supply and, at the same time, the outcome of the surgery.
  • SPECIFIC™ F/C-IN-W Intensive Support is specifically designed to restore missing nutrients and promote healing - not only for self-feeding patients, but also for patients who are fed with assistance or through a tube. As the patient recovers and begins to eat independently, it is possible to gradually switch to another SPECIFIC™ food, depending on their condition, ensuring uninterrupted recovery. SPECIFIC™ Digestive Support, Kitten, Puppy, CΩD Skin Function Support or CAD Active are recommended.
