Virbac HPMD U1 Cat Stuvite dissolution dry food for cats with struvite stones

This is a therapeutic dry food for cats intended for the dissolution of struvite stones (5-12 weeks). It is also used as a prophylaxis in cases of risk of calcium oxalate formation.

It is not recommended to use in the following stages:
For the growth period;
Pregnancy and lactation;
Chronic kidney disease;
Heart failure.

Features:
High protein and sodium content promotes water intake, which increases urine output and promotes more frequent urination. The composition of the food is unfavorable for the formation of struvite stones, and at risk of their formation 1, promotes rapid dissolution of stones (effectiveness proven by Virbac). The additional amount of fish oil guarantees a high amount of omega3, especially EPA+DHA, and reduces the possibility of urinary tract infections. Urine pH 6.0-6.5 promotes the dissolution of struvite stones and prevents the formation of oxalates. Chitosan, as a phosphorus binder, inhibits its absorption and excretion in the urine. Artichoke leaves reduce urine concentration (effectiveness proven by Virbac). Lower calcium, phosphorus and magnesium content prevents the formation of struvite and oxalate stones. Potassium citrate, as an exclusive inhibitor, reduces the possibility of calcium oxalate formation. The composition of the food is unfavorable for the formation of calcium oxalate stones (effectiveness proven by Virbac). The high content of animal protein and fat guarantees excellent palatability and the desired result.
